Dr. Mireille Bekker

Mireille is currently working as an obstetrician at the University Medical Centre Utrecht. She is specialized in the field of prenatal ultrasound, diagnosis and therapy. Her research focusses on the multiple aspects of prenatal screening and diagnosis. She is also interested in counselling, patient empowerment and eHealth in obstetric care. She is the projectleader of several research projects regarding hometelemonitoring and other eHealth strategies in obstetric health care.

She performed her training to become in gynecologist in the VU Medical Centre in Amsterdam between 2007 and 2011. From 2011 until 2013 she perfomed a fellowship perinatology in the VU Medical Centre and Radboud University Medical Centre.
